Training Solutions Kilkenny is expanding

Training Solutions Kilkenny is now a limited company, and is expanding the growing offering to introduce TSK Academy.

Due to the overwhelming success of our training offering in the last 12 months, Training Solutions Kilkenny is expanding!

From September 1st 2021, Training Solutions Kilkenny will become Training Solutions Kilkenny LTD and we will launch TSK Academy, a dedicated online learning base for all your training needs.

Nothing changes for the learner. You will still get the same 5* experience, from live, interactive, online classes to our in person classes. We are streamlining the process of finding and engaging with course content to help Training Solutions Kilkenny reach more learners.

The Training Solutions Kilkenny website will now become the home for our corporate and organisation offerings and resources, as well as our dedicated career guidance for those in human services.

TSK has grown in size since Jeanette launched her first workshop in June 2020. Laura, our first additional tutor to support Jeanette, joined in January 2020.

In March, 2021 we welcomed Shanna, supporting Jeanette in the office and in June 2021, we welcomed Louise. Our second welcome tutor and social media expert.

The course offerings have grown from a single workshop to three whole CPD accredited courses. We also have individual workshops, group workshops for schools, and bespoke consultancy for organisations.  With new product launch announcements in the coming 12 months, we want to centralise the training offering and make it easier for our learners to access our services, while continuing to build our relationships with schools and organisations around the country.

Why TSK Academy?

An academy is: “a place of study or training in a special field”.

Our ethos is to provide excellence in human services, this is exactly what we do!

We want to remove any barriers to attracting learners from outside our locality. We are a small Irish business but we want to connect with as many people as possible who could benefit from our training!

The TSK Academy website is currently under construction and courses will be made available shortly. We also have a very active social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, and a private group online for learners to connect outside the classroom.

NEW Course…

September will also bring the launch of our brand new Accredited Course ‘Play-Based Learning and Curriculum Development’ on the 8th of September, 2021.

This course is primarily targeted towards  new, existing and upcoming Childcare Professionals. The course compliments the L6 ECCE module Curriculum Development.

With the childcare industry being massively understaffed, we know there are many families who are at home with their little ones and we want to bring the creche experience to you.

The course covers theories of play and practical examples of how to give your child the best sensory and learning experiences to get off to a great start.

We look forward to you all taking this journey with us and thank everyone for their continued support.

First Workshop in the SNA workshop Series tonight

Thursday 28th June 2020

Tonight was the first of many online live workshops in my newly designed and developed workshop series for Special Needs Assistants.

This workshop series has been specially designed to help SNA’s see the world from the kids perspective. To learn to understand that children are simply that, children! That their “disorder” or “deficit” does not and should not define them.

By developing this awareness, Special Needs Assistants will be in a unique position to understand and manage the behaviours that may present as “challenging” in the children they support.

Tonight’s workshop Autism Awareness, A Brief Overview was a great success and surpassed my expectations.

For that, I would like to thank a number of people, who without them, it was destined to fail:

  • My partner Keith for his support, encouragement and unwavering belief in my abilities
  • My children, also for their support, specifically Willem and Lucas for teaching me Zoom and letting me use them as participants in practice runs.
  • Andrew from @Entrepreneur Success who has taught me so many things in such a short time and given me that kick up the arse to actually DO rather than waiting for shit to happen.
  • My friends Stacey and Wendy for their support and joining the zoom classes to give me moral support on the day.
  • My dog, who everyday, faithfully “comes to work with me” as he gets up when I say I’m going to work, walks down to the office with me and lays by my side or at my feet.
  • And, of course, the participants. Without whom, there would be no course.
  • And not forgetting the tech..Facebook, which I have advertised on for free, WordPress who I used to build my website and Google for making my life a little bit easier.

Here’s to a long career of self employment and entrepreneurship, and another strong willed woman trying to change the world for the better.
