I want to tell you about a little project I’ve been working on.

You might remember recently I launched a survey into the current system for locating a provider for the Summer programme (previously known as July Provision).

Lots of information was captured on the survey.

Predominately, there was general consensus among both providers and families that the current system is not as effective as it possibly could be.

There was also lots of other feedback in relation to roles for Special Needs Assistants, the pay gap between providers and lack of job prospects or security for SNA’s.

From the research carried out with over 600 respondents, a report will be made and submitted to the Department of Education and Skills highlighting the issues raised from professionals and families alike.

In the meantime, at TSK Academy, we have been working hard on creating a new website which will hopefully help families locate suitable professionals in their area who can provide the programme.

I can happily tell you this new site is almost ready to launch.

For anyone that would like to be featured as a provider of the summer programme and/or home tuition, you can still fill in the Google registration form until the website form is ready.

The new site has been aptly named by my youngest son Tutors Made for You and you can access it at tutorsmadeforyou.com (Note, it still says coming soon, but will be live within the next week)

We are really looking forward to working with families and professionals in matching you up and locating the right tutor/sna for your child.
