So, here it is! My family famous bacon fried spuds! Every BBQ…without fail!
Let me tell you how easy it is to make..and it’s proper tasty 🙂
The quantities are relative, so the more spuds you use, the more of everything else you’ll need.
You need:
- New/salad spuds (just wash them, no need to peel) and chop them into bite size pieces. For 6-8 people I fill a medium large pan 3/4 full.

- One large onion, chopped
- 3 gloves garlic, crushed
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Tablespoon of mixed herbs
- Tablespoon of parsley
- Butter or oil
- 1 pack of smoked streaky rashers, chopped.
Ok, now let’s cook!
First, cook the potatoes until they are soft and cooked through. Drain them off once cooked and set aside.
In a large frying pan, fry off the bacon.

Then add in the onion and garlic. Stir fry it for 2-3 minutes.

When the bacon has crisped up a little, add in the cooked potatoes, salt and pepper, mixed herbs and parsley.
Stir fry until golden.
Done…serve in a pretty bowl 😁

Love the recipe, reminds me a bit of biksemad but it’s cool. Very nice.
I’ve never heard of bikes bikesmad, but sounds like something I’d like to try.
