For some people on the Autism Spectrum, getting the hands dirty is their worst nightmare, but they’d still love to paint.
You can now purchase “clean paints”. They come in a marker form as you can see in the picture and there is virtually no mess and a lot less chance of your person getting paint on their fingers if this is something that bothers them.
Knowing your person is key to program planning and implementation and getting it wrong can be the difference between you both having a good or bad day.
I would recommend bringing both “clean” and regular paints and asking your person to tell or show you which they would prefer.
